Last week, I thought I would tell you about clothes in this letter and then I realized that we are right in the middle of the school holidays and that you don't necessarily feel like going shopping. So, here are some reading ideas for you and your children (trips may last too long...), but also ideas of gifts to take with you and other little things spotted here and there.

Thanks to the little Mini Miki book (playBac) and its colouring pictures and stickers, she (or he) won’t get bored on the train, who do you think will be the next Yves Saint-Laurent mother ?! And then, another very smart book, always published by playBac : a musical book with the lyrics of the songs and a chip on which to press for the soundtrack. In one trip, the little kids will become true music lovers, and will make friends on the train…

I've been doing books for a few years with Sophie Gachet, journalist for years at ELLE, and I used to tease her telling her that I didn't want to quote celebrities in the books because I considered that they could afford everything they fancied and therefore could not be taken as an examples. Well I was wrong and Sophie proves it with this new book written without me, Que le style soit avec vous (Style Be With You). We can very well get inspiration from others’ styles with our own clothes and we never receive too much advice ! Well done Sophie, this book is full of photos of international stars but not necessarily on red carpets and it is easy & pleasant to read. You'll see the last page is the best, um... little vanity !

It's always a bit complicated to find a gift to offer when you're invited (for a lunch and for 6 people maximum of course !)... well Deyrolle and À La Mère de Famille teamed up to make the perfect gift ! A gorgeous chocolate box that becomes a huge whale when unfolded. And in its belly there are lots of chocolates. But where the idea is very cute, is that among the chocolates in the shape of octopus, fish, squid (good animal feed) some flip-flops, bottles, goblets, bags slipped into the whale that represent what it accidentally swallows. As you may have noticed, everything is done to educate kids and grown-ups about plastic pollution in the oceans. The profits from the sales will be donated to the Longitude 181 association, which fights for the preservation of the oceans and in particular the sperm whales.

Sometimes and by chance you may meet your soulmate... Well, I haven't met Lamia yet but I love everything she does for her brand Yadi. The graphic but artisanal side, modern but timeless, simple but sophisticated, the two-tone objects... I love everything ! I would like to work with her, so I have to meet her. Guess where she lives ? In Marseille, of course! When I tell you this is THE city of the moment ! Well that’s another good reason to go !

A solid shampoo is both easy to carry in your suitcase and good for the planet ! But, I don't remember where on the planet I bought it !
